Description:

Fearons Middleton school of dance is Barnsleys longest running dance school with one of the best reputations around .Subjects include IDTA ballet, modern, tap, jazz, theatre craft, gymnastics, drama and commercial street. Pupils may take examinations in all dance disciplines if they wish to with the IDTA. The school holds a 100% pass rate on all examinations taken. In addition to working towards examinations all pupils take part in the school's bi-annual showcase. The school provides dancers for the Dearne Pantomime, Charity Shows, Displays and lots more, giving pupils plenty of opportunities to have fun.

Classes in all aspects of theatre dance.

Our pre-school classes are devised especially for boys and girls aged 2 - 4 years. The emphasis is on the development of co-ordination, discovery of mime and musicality, and group participation. The class is held in a fun environment which builds children's confidence and self esteem for the future. Pre-School dance includes ballet, tap and free movement with the aim being to capture and nurture young children's instinctive joy of movement and freedom of expression. A further 30minutes of gymnastic dance developing limbering and tricks and tumbles is optional but recommended.
